Some Dogs are Simple

I have two Border Terriers: Oscar and Hunter. I adore them, and the feeling is mutual. They're cute, funny, sweet, loyal(ish), and...one of them is smart! The other one? Not so much. Which is why I looove this hysterical Hyperbole and a Half post about what it's like to have a simple dog.

Do you have pets? Are they brainiacs, or...simple?

These tired guys are my Border Terriers, Hunter and Oscar. We just finished the Mighty Texas Dog Walk, a 3-mile trek to benefit the Texas Hearing & Service Dogs! Here's hoping we managed to break the world record for number of dogs on a walk, too.

We saw a lot of great dogs today, including a 182-pound Great Dane, a dachshund in a Batman t-shirt, and a Pomeranian groomed to look like a lion.

Tell me about your pets!

The Obligatory Cute Dog Post

Many of you know and love the dog of my heart, Hunter. He's a three-year-old Border Terrier with a sunny disposition and an inordinate love of cuddling. He was unhappy as an only dog, though, so we bought him a pet, Oscar. Oscar is nearly six months old now, also a Border Terrier, and some days pushes me past what I think I can bear. He's a bit of a holy terror. Hunter loves him, though, and very occasionally, they're so sweet together it makes my teeth ache. I took some pictures to try and capture those moments for later, when Oscar's being a bastard again. Yes, my house is a mess. Don't judge me. This last one is of Hunter alone, because he's ludicrously adorable and I can't help myself.
