Desert Island Keeper

All About Romance is known for not being marshmallow pushovers when it comes to their reviews. Every author I know braces herself before opening up the AAR page. I've never gotten less than a B- from them, but I've never gotten higher than a B+, either.

Until today!

I'm so pleased and proud to announce that not only did the lovely, adorable, wonderful, intelligent AAR reviewer give Too Hot to Touch an A-, she also gave it the coveted and elusive DIK rating.

DIK stands for Desert Island Keeper--as in, if she were stranded on a desert island, Too Hot to Touch is one of the books she'd want to have with her, sustaining her through her troubles until she could be rescued. How cool is that??

Read the rave review here, then tell me: if you were stranded on a desert island, what five books would make your keeper pile?

3 comments:

1) Jane of Lantern Hill by L.M. Montgomery
2) Pride & Prejudice
3) Bleak House by Charles Dickens (I read pretty vast--a monster Victorian novel would be necessary)
4) Evening Class by Maeve Binchy
5) This Heart of Mine OR Match Me if You Can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips (as long as I can imagine that there's ONE NFL quarterback coming to my rescue, I think I'll be okay)

5 only? That's sooo mean!! I have 5 faves from all my fave authors that could qualify. My criteria isn't keepers because I only buy keepers LOL. I'm listing the books that I haven't put back on the shelf because I keep picking them up to read in part or whole from time to time.

1. Sweet Restraint & Wicked Burn by Beth Kery
2. Broken, Fragile & The Missing by Shiloh walker
3. Anything by Christy Reece especially Last Chance
4. Edge Of Sight-Roxanne St. Claire
5. Dream A Little Dream by SEP

Oh yeah and this book that I still have on my nightstand that I probably know by heart - full of sticky notes: Just One Taste by you. I can't imagine how good Too Hot To Touch is. I know I had more than 5 but there were some ties.

I don't have to worry because I don't travel but I'm still miffed that I left out Unlawful Contact by Pamela Clare & Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James.
Try not to notice that I cheated and Jaci Burton.

whispering Jill Shalvis. She gets her own billing LOL.
